Finally Feel Like Yourself Again
Foundations-first support for Kentucky women preparing for pregnancy or rebuilding after birth. Uncover what's draining your reserves—and restore what motherhood requires. Functional medicine that picks up where your conventional checkup left off.
YOU'VE DONE THE LABS. YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT ELSE THERE IS TO LOOK AT.
Your labs came back fine. Your doctor said things look normal. But the cycle that won't regulate, the postpartum fog that's still there, or the energy that disappears by afternoon say otherwise.
Functional testing like HTMA can show you parts of the picture conventional labs weren't designed to. I help women in their 20s and 30s, preconception or postpartum, understand what these patterns mean and where to go next.
ARE YOU RUNNING ON EMPTY?
PREPARING FOR PREGNANCY
- Fatigue that doesn't resolve with rest
- Feeling wired but tired—stress hits harder than it used to
- Subtle cycle changes or inconsistent ovulation
- Hair shedding, brittle nails, or muscle tension
- You want to enter pregnancy with reserves—not already depleted
REBUILDING AFTER BIRTH
- Exhaustion deeper than sleep deprivation
- Brain fog, reduced focus, emotional flatness
- Cycles slow to return or unpredictable
- Prolonged hair loss months after birth
- Wondering if this exhaustion is your new normal
These aren't signs something is wrong with you. They may be signals your body is asking for support it hasn't received yet.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIGURE THIS OUT ALONE
I see women every day who've been told they're fine—while their body is clearly compensating. You're not imagining this. These signals mean something.
I'm Alicia—a Kentucky-based Nurse Practitioner specializing in HTMA and functional assessment for women from preconception through postpartum.
I help women recognize depletion early and rebuild their reserves intentionally—so motherhood doesn't demand more than their body can give.

HTMA is my starting point for most women because of what it reveals about foundational wellness, and because it's a more accessible cost than many functional panels. I add other functional testing on a patient-by-patient basis when it's the right call. Learn what HTMA shows →

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) is a screening test that measures mineral content in your hair over the past 3-4 months. Unlike blood tests that show a snapshot, HTMA reveals long-term patterns in mineral balance, stress response, and metabolic function—critical factors for hormone health, energy, and fertility. Read the full HTMA guide for a deeper understanding.

No. My services are designed to complement your existing care team (PCP, OB-GYN, midwife). I provide specialized functional health support, HTMA testing, and lifestyle guidance—not primary medical care.
Timelines vary. Some women notice shifts in energy or symptom patterns within the first 4–8 weeks of working their wellness plan; deeper changes to mineral balance typically take 3–6 months. We track progress together and adjust as needed.
Start with a Discovery Session. In 60 minutes we'll talk through your goals, what you're experiencing, and your stage of life, and I'll help you find the right next step. No pressure, just honest guidance.
HTMA is where I start with most women. It shows foundational mineral patterns conventional labs aren't designed to capture, and it's a more accessible cost than many functional panels. When it's the right call for your situation, I add other functional testing on a patient-by-patient basis. Learn more about HTMA.
I focus mostly on thyroid health, women's hormone wellness including fertility, mild gut symptoms, postpartum health, and repletion.
I do not currently offer treatment plans or heavy detox protocols for active SIBO, parasites, EBV, CMV, Lyme, or mold toxicity. If these are suspected, I'll make a referral to a specialist. I have, however, seen my foundational protocol change the efficacy of these treatments. Chronic diseases deplete the body and increase nutritional needs—a critical piece of the healing puzzle that many functional medicine protocols overlook.
